MicroScissors

Alcon was looking for a way to make disposable microscissors used to cut neo-vascularization inside the eye, often caused by diabetes.  Unlike existing re-usable tools, these low-cost versions would be guaranteed to be sharp. A scissor head assembly was designed, and specialized scissor geometry developed for volume stamping and laser welding assembly.
