Founder Tom Devlin specializes in new product and business development for emerging consumer and high-tech products.
With 25 years of experience, Tom works in the space between engineering and design. He earned a mechanical engineering from MIT followed by a masters of design at the Royal College of Art, Tom was never able to fit in to any category, so he started Devlin Design in Boston where he creates and designs products for himself and his clients. Recently he invented Brilliant Pad, a crowd funded product that went on to Shark Tank. He also invented its predecessor: ScoopFree automatic litter box. His work with the Cyrano scent player is featured in the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York, and he has received numerous international design awards..
Tom co-founded BruxCare, a medical device company selling GrindAlert, which he co-invented and designed. He also founded and attracted funding for Loto LIghting to market his patented motorized lighting technology and designs. This was formed with partners in to a larger company called Formalighting, which is an international brand based in Milan.
Tom works with mechanisms, machine design, sheet metal, injection molding, cut and sew, electronic boards, and even optics. His broad range allows Tom to be free from any one type of design, and he can bring his experience to new fields. With his business development background, he has a first-hand understanding of his client's needs.
